Youth Workers Retreat
"Rest time is not waste time. It is economy to gather fresh strength... It is wisdom to take occasional furlough. In the long run, we shall do more by sometimes doing less." Charles Spurgeon.
It Is very easy to get caught up in the busyness of life. There is always something that can be done. Those in youth ministry are often juggling a full time job alongside running youth work, which can feel like a second full time job. Jesus also knew busyness but He still stopped and sought out time to be with the Father. If Jesus needed to stop then surely so do we. This is why we are running a retreat for youth workers.
It is a day to stop and reflect on God and what He may be saying to us. The day will feature time for prayer; Bible teaching; reflection and fellowship. There will also be opportunities to spend time talking on a one on one basis about your youth work.
The retreat day will take place at Highnam Community Centre on Saturday 14th October from 10am-4pm. The day will cost £15 including lunch. To book email us your details and how many of your team would like to come and we will be able to send you payment details or invoice for a church booking.
If you are not involved in youth work, why not encourage those in your church to go. Even better, why not thank them for what they do by offering to pay for them to attend.
